When I talk to buyers of Toronto and ask them of moving to Oshawa , many give me a quizzical look and say is that not the next Detroit .What I think really makes no difference but I will give you enough data to judge for your self, and finally you will even feel tempted to buy a home in Oshawa. No way Oshawa is Detroit rather it is the new Mississauga in the making.
Even though the manufacturing jobs have reduced the city is investing heavily in job creations by promoting tourism and bringing more corporate offices to Oshawa.Plus the domino effect of price increase from Pickering has moved buyers east . Hwy 407 extension to Oshawa is also happening by 2013.
