True Predictions by Nostradamus(of realestate) about the home prices in MARKHAM
Nostradamus was a was a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide. Today I'am going to make some predections about the real estate prices in Markham , using my expertise and knowledge , lets see how right I'am in six months time .
I can see the prices in Markham will keep on increasing at a rate of at least 3-4% per annum at least , as there are no expansive new projects comming up by new builders ,except those being built rigt now in Cornell and Near Major Mac etc . So that means less supply of new homes .Most of the new contruction is for high density housing like condos etc.
I also see the prices increase in Markham ,as the taxes in Toronto will increase ,and Toronto also charging that extra Land Transfer Tax . Even though the taxes in Markham are allready high , but factoring the increase in Toronto Taxes the charm of living in Toronto will deplete.
I also see the prices increase in Markham town , as more immigrants come to settle in the GTA every year and as per a recent survey ,immigrants today are buying houses in 5-6 years , then the immigrants in the last decade. As more educated professional immigrants are comming , they settle much quicker and they get much more higher salaries.
I also see the prices increasing ,as the GST/HST harmonize in 2010 , it will be an indirect effect as all the raw material for new homes will cost more ,services will cost more etc .
I also see the prices increasing as Markham Downtown gets more popullated , more condos also mean the condo buyers will need more freehold homes to move in when they have kids .Markham downtown also brings more professionals to Markham from Toronto , so indirectly they will spend more money in Markham, hence increasing business and setting the chain reaction for higher prices
