About Mississauga

Lorne Park Estates is a community of about 77 acres, located in the City of Mississauga and bordered by Lake Ontario on the south, Lakeshore Road on the north, Jack Darling Park on the west and Richard’s Memorial Park on the East.

Homeowners are not only responsible for municipal taxes and upkeep on their land, but they are also co-operately responsible for the upkeep and taxes on approximately 37 of those acres including residential roads, forests, walking trails, a cottage, the small park area and a beach.

The two roads into Lorne Park Estates are marked as "private" not just because they are privately maintained, but because they are not conducive to traffic. The privately maintained roads in the community are extremely narrow with no sidewalks, few through-fares and with many dead ends.

Erin Mills is a planned community in the City of Mississauga, located approximately 32 km (20 miles) west of downtown Toronto, Ontario,Canada. Erin Mills was conceived, planned and developed by the Cadillac Fairview Corporation on 8,000 acres (32 km²) of historic land in the City of Mississauga. Erin Mills is a totally integrated residential, industrial and commercial community.

Based on census and political boundaries, the 2001 population is estimated at 105,000 residents, making it the most populous area in Mississauga (but not the most densely populated) and one of the fastest growing. Geographically, the area is by far the largest in Mississauga, occupying much of the western section of the city. There is a number of managed creek courses that traverse the area and eventually drain to the Credit River, and then Lake Ontario, but Erin Mills does not adjoin either.

Streetsville is an established and primarily upper-middle class community located in the northwestern corner of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on the Credit River. Although Streetsville occupies both the west and east banks of the river, the majority is located on the west bank of the river.

Although the former village is surrounded by modern suburban development, it seeks to keep a “small town” charm by retaining a variety of historical buildings and streetscapes. As part of this attempt to maintain a separate identity from the larger city, the names of several main Mississauga roads, as they pass through Streetsville, revert to what they were called when Streetsville was an independent village. These include Mississauga Road and Bristol Road, which revert to Queen Street and Main Street respectively. Other main thoroughfares that cross Streetsville include Creditview Road, Eglinton Avenue, and Britannia Road

Erindale is an historical village located within the central part of the city of Mississauga, west of Toronto.

It runs along Dundas Street West, the centre of the old village is just to the east of the Credit River valley. A large campus of the University of Toronto, known as University of Toronto Mississauga, is located on the west bank of the river.

Dixie is a neighbourhood in the Canadian city of Mississauga, Ontario. The community lies in the southeastern part of the city and one of the older neighbourhoods in the city.

The name of the neighbourhood dates back to the Village of Dixie at the corner of Cawthra Road and Dundas Street West in south part of the city. The village was named in honour of Dr. Beaumont Dixie, a settler whom paid for the establishment of the Union Chapel, a multi-denominal Protestant church in the village in 1865.
